September 3Oth MEA members who wish to enroll in Investment Plans (403b) must notify the Superintendent so payroll deductions can begin in October
October 1st MEA members must notify the Superintendent in writing no later than Oct. 1st preceding the first school year in which the benefit will become effective of their intent to participate in Augmented Longevity
October 15th MEA President will be supplied with the current seniority list from Administration
December 1st MEA members must notify the Superintendent of their desire to apply for a sabbatical leave

March 3Oth MEA members who wish to voluntarily transfer to any open position must submit a letter of intent to the Superintendent
April 1st MEA member who desires to participate in a job sharing position for the next year must write to Superintendent
April 1st Notification to Superintendent in writing of return for the next academic year from a Maternity leave longer titan 12 weeks
April 1st Determination for qualification in a teaching position will be based upon materials in a teachers’ personnel file as of this date for purposes of layoffs
April 1st Evidence of certification must be on file as of this date
April 15th MEA member on the 26 pay cycle must notify the Superintendent in writing their desire to receive a lump sum payment
May 15th MEA members will be notified, in writing, of layoff as soon as possible but no later than this date
May 15th School Calendar for the next year to MEA Members
August 1st MEAmembers will be given their room assignments by the end of the school year or no later than August F
August 31st Early Retirement Incentive Payment made to MEA members by August 31st of the fiscal year following that in which the declaration of intent is filed.
Evaluations - MEA members will receive their evaluation summary no later than 10 days following the observation.
Longevity-l/2 of the payment will be made in the first pay period in December and the second 1/2 will be paid in the first pay period in June
August - MEA members who wish to change their pay plan from 21 to 26 payments of vise versa must notify the Superintendent in writing.
Salary will be paid in 21 or 26 equal bi-weekly installments
Maternity - MEA member must notify the Superintendent in writing by the end of her fourth month of her pregnancy, the date she wishes to commence her leave of absence.
Maternity leave of 12 weeks for regular delivery
Maternity leave of 14 weeks for Caesarian delivery
Up to 40 days of accumulated sick pay for a normal maternity leave
12 week or longer leave-Return in the September following the leave or the next September following the September following the birth of the child
Personal Days -Three days advanced notice given to their immediate supervisor
